The Tim Tebow era in Jacksonville does not look like it will make it to the regular season. At this point, he might not even make it to the second preseason game.
The former Florida quarterback played in 16 snaps against the Cleveland Browns and wasn’t much of a factor. The only time he actually got noticed was for his poor attempt to block a guy on a running play.
Tebow, who ended the night with no receptions, actually had another noteworthy play on that same drive. It was actually the very next play that showed an even worse block attempt.
“Honestly, the Tebow block that went viral wasn’t even his worst block of the night. This was the very next play” he tweeted.
“We’ve gotta get our jokes off, and we will, but it’s worth saying that this is just … bad for the team. The Jaguars have to make roster cuts by Tuesday and if he’s still around, I don’t know how you take that staff seriously.”

Of the six Jaguars’ tight ends who played in the game, Tebow was the only one to not be involved in any special-teams plays.
The writing is on the wall.
