Non-contact injuries are the worst type of injuries for football players, because it usually means a player will likely be done for the entire season.
The Denver Broncos appear to have suffered a potentially serious loss during training camp.
According to multiple reports, Broncos wideout Tim Patrick went down during a seven-on-seven drill with a non-contact injury to his left leg. Reports further stated he tossed his helmet and screamed as he was eventually carted off the field.
According to NFL Media, Patrick got off the cart and used crutches to walk into the facility.

This is particularly bad news as Patrick had been a full participant in team drills after having recently worked his way back from a torn ACL in his right knee that cost him the entire 2022 season.
It’s too early to determine the exact nature or severity of this injury, which isn’t in the same leg as his previous one, but you cannot help but to feel incredibly sad for him.
Patrick played well in 2020 and 2021, combining for 104 catches for 1,476 yards and 11 touchdowns in 31 games. He is headed into the second season of the three-year, $30 million contract extension he signed late in 2021, but he has yet to play a down on that deal.
If Denver wanted to turn this 2023 season into a different year than last year, Patrick was needed in that department.
