Tiger Woods was on his way to meet up with New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert before he would ultimately lose control of his vehicle in a rollover accident in the Los Angeles area Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.
Woods was reportedly running late to have a photo shoot with Brees and Herbert while the quarterbacks played golf, according to Bret Baier of Fox News, before the accident.
He was reportedly conscious and alert as he was pulled through the windshield of his damaged SUV.
The 15-time major-winner underwent a fifth back surgery in December and now has to deal with having a shattered ankle and two leg fractures.
The 22-year-old Herbert turns some heads in his 1st season and collected the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He is coming off a record-breaking season throwing for 31 touchdowns (NFL rookie record) and five rushing touchdowns, which totaled 36 touchdowns on the season (NFL rookie record).
42-year-old New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees is still expected to retire this offseason.
