Brock Purdy helped the San Francisco 49ers book their place in the NFC Championship game for the second season in a row, which is good for him as he probably wouldn’t have been able to if he weren’t playing.
The Niners will square off with the Detroit Lions next Sunday in what’s a highly anticipated matchup.
Fans looking to attend will need to break the bank as the cheapest seats are going for $767 on SeatGeek. Lots of them are going for around $1,700 while some are being sold for over $43,000. Yup, you could get a car for that kind of money.
Purdy, the starting quarterback for the Niners, earns $870,000 a season. Of course, it’s a hell of a lot more than many Americans take home, but it’s hardly in the realm of lucrative as far as NFL salaries go and he probably wouldn’t want to spend any part of that on expensive game tickets.
Over in the AFC, Chiefs-Ravens tickets can be had for $558. It’s still a lot, but compared to the other game, it seems like a steal.
Of course, Lions fans might consider their prices a bargain. They haven’t been here in over 30 years and don’t know how soon they’re going to be back. They’d probably be happy to pay whatever’s asked.
