In a game-matching once-proud franchises in the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, it’s Bailey Zappe vs. Mitch Trubisky in primetime on Thursday Night Football.
When the New England Patriots played the Steelers in Pittsburgh last year, the teams combined for only 31 points, 10 penalties, eight punts, and three turnovers. That game featured Mac Jones and Mitch Trubisky.
Now, Jones is on the bench and Zappe is taking his place.

This season, Trubisky has finished three games for Pickett, completing 59.2% of his attempts for 273 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Both teams bring stout defenses as the Patriots have held three consecutive opponents to 10 points or less but they have lost all games. The Steelers have held four of their last five under 20. In their last eight combined games, the offenses have scored 20 points just once.
