Zach Wilson’s time in New York is nearing an end as the Jets have granted the quarterback permission to seek a trade.
Following three unsuccessful seasons under center for the AFC East outfit, Wilson will be looking to start fresh elsewhere as general manager Joe Douglas told reporters the player is now free to speak with other teams.
While he was drafted as the No. 2 overall pick just three years ago, Wilson isn’t expected to have many suitors given his struggles staying on the field, as well as some difficulty with accuracy. Still, three teams have been linked to him in the wake of the most recent development.
According to the MFLFootball account on X, the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs could be interested.
Wilson isn’t likely to be the starter on any team he joins barring an otherworldly preseason, not least the Chiefs, who have the best QB in football.

Even so, KC would be a good destination for Wilson as he could learn from Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs also haven’t locked a long-term backup for Mahomes down and wouldn’t have to give up much given how low Wilson’s stock has dropped.
As for the Vikings and Rams, both of their starters are aging, with the former’s heading into free agency and his future uncertain.
