Three Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not join the team for their flight to Munich, Germany for Sunday’s Week 10 game against the Seattle Seahawks.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, wide receiver Russell Gage, guard Luke Goedeke and linebacker J.J. Russell didn’t make the trip to Munich. Gage and Russell are dealing with hamstring injuries, and Goedeke has a foot injury.
The Bucs and Seahawks will play the first-ever NFL game in Germany at Allianz Arena, home of the popular FC Bayern Munich team. Despite a losing record (4-5), the Buccaneers sit atop the NFC South, while the surprising 6-3 Seahawks are leading the NFC West.
Tampa Bay is coming off a pivotal 16-13 home win against the defending champion Los Angeles Rams in Week 9. Tom Brady found rookie tight end Cade Otton in the end zone in the waning seconds to propel Tampa Bay to victory, snapping a three-game losing streak in the process.
The Buccaneers jumped out to a perfect 2-0 start but proceeded to lose five of their next seven games. This included losses to two of the league’s worst teams in the Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 7) and the Carolina Panthers (Week 8).
As for the Seahawks, they’re looking to extend their winning streak to five games. Pete Carroll’s group is coming off a 31-21 road win over the NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals.
