Things got incredibly awkward during Dak Prescott’s conference call with the media on Wednesday, one day before the Cowboys take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving Day.
Rather than do the press conference in person, Dak held a conference call with reporters instead because of his busy schedule. Thinking it would be a good time for a wise crack, one member of the media decided to ask Dak if the reason he couldn’t make it in-person was because he was undergoing another surgery.
This was obviously a reference to the season-ending surgery Dak underwent last season after suffering a brutal ankle injury, which makes it that much more cringeworthy.
Dak seemed to shrug it off, telling the media that he was just busy with his personal trainer and was in the middle of getting a haircut on a short week.
The Cowboys will be looking to get back in the win column when they take on the slumping Raiders later today. Dallas will be without their top two receivers in Ceedee Lamb and Amari Cooper. So Prescott will have his work cut out for him.
