According to rumors circulating on the internet, the New York Jets offered the San Francisco 49ers a king’s ransom consisting of the No. 10 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, multiple Day 2 picks, and wide receiver Elijah Moore.
New York Jets fans can calm down because that rumor seems to have zero truth in it. NFL insider Matt Lombardo took to Twitter and said there is “no truth” to the rumors.
“I’m told per multiple league sources there is “zero” truth to the #Jets offering any sort of package that included No. 10, No. 35, Elijah Moore, etc. to the #49ers for Deebo Samuel. #NFL,” Lombardo wrote.
Taking to Twitter, Samuel said he was amused by some of the things he’s been hearing about him. He reminded people that they don’t know what they were talking about.
“To real to entertain half the stuff y’all be saying but it do be funny though… everybody want they voice to be heard about a situation they know nothing about and just be saying whatever the next person say… Have a blessed day,” Samuel wrote, adding a v-sign emoji.

While it remains uncertain if the San Francisco 49ers will trade wide receiver Deebo Samuel, the New York Jets are reportedly considered his most likely landing spot if they do. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, “most people” in the NFL consider the Jets to be the “front-runners” for Samuel.
The 26-year-old is a hot commodity since he is coming off a career year in his third NFL season. The former South Carolina standout set career highs with 77 receptions for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns. He made life miserable for opposing defenses as a ball-carrier, rushing for 365 yards and eight scores on 59 carries.
