The Manning brothers may not have such a hard time getting current players on their “ManningCast” broadcasts anymore after what transpired in the Giants-Panthers game earlier today.
For those who don’t remember, every active player who appeared on the ManningCast last season went on to lose their game the following week. In total, there were seven active players who appeared on the broadcast. The list includes Travis Kelce, Russell Wilson, Rob Gronkowski, Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford, Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers.
Those are some pretty great players on some pretty great teams.
Not one to shy away from a so-called “curse,” Saquon Barkley decided to test his luck by appearing on the ManningCase during the week one Monday nighter between the Seahawks and Broncos.
Barkley’s Giants were coming off an impressive week one victory over the Tennessee Titans, and they followed that up with another win in week two, this time over the Carolina Panthers by a score of 19-16. The victory made Barkley the first active player to appear on the ManningCast and win his game the following week.
Barkley carried the ball 21 times for 72 yards. He added another three receptions for 16 yards through the air. The Giants improve to 2-0 on the year, with a home game against the Cowboys up next on their schedule.
