Football fans are in shock after the 2020 NFL quarterback draft class combined to reach a historic first on Friday, following new deals for Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and Green Bay Packers signal-caller Jordan Love
On Friday, Tua Tagovailoa and Jordan Love signed lucrative extensions with their respective teams. Tagovailoa got a four-year deal worth $212.4 million, and Love got the same term for $220 million. With that, the top five selected in the 2020 NFL quarterback draft class have all signed extensions with their teams.
With Tagovailoa and Love signing their extensions, the 2020 QB Draft class has now set a special piece of history.
According to Dane Brugler of The Athletic, the 2020 NFL quarterback draft class now marks the first time since the NFL free agency era began (1993) that every quarterback drafted in the top 100 has signed an extension with the NFL team that selected them.
Joe Burrow (first overall in 2020) of the Cincinnati Bengals signed a five-year extension worth $275 million last year. No. 6 pick Justin Herbert (Los Angeles Chargers) and No. 53 selection Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) signed extensions worth $262.5 million and $255 million, respectively.
And fans are in at a loss for words over how ridiculous the 2020 NFL quarterback draft class has become, following the Jordan Love and Tua Tagovailoa extensions:

Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert, Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts have all led their teams to the postseason at least once. Burrow and Hurts have each played in one Super Bowl, too.
Indeed, the 2020 NFL QB draft class has truly become something special,
2020 NFL Quarterback Draft Class Could Be The Best Ever
The 1983 NFL Draft was the golden standard for QBs, as it produced three Hall of Famers in John Elway, Jim Kelly and Dan Marino. The 2004 class wasn’t too shabby either with Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning and Philip Rivers.
But at this rate, it’s not a stretch to believe that the 2020 class could go down as the best ever for quarterbacks. None of these guys have played five seasons of pro ball yet, and all have cemented themselves as franchise-changing signal-callers.
