This situation continues to get more and more frightening. It started with an Instagram video (which has since been deleted) in which Vikings pass rusher Everson Griffen flashes his gun in his home while claiming people are trying to shoot him.
In the video, Griffen appears to be in his bed as he describes his gun and claims fellow Vikings teammate Dalvin Cook helped him purchase it.
Now, we have text messages in which Griffen appears to be reaching out to a friend for help.
In the messages, Griffen tells someone by the name of “Murph” to call 911 while claiming “people are trying to kill me” and “i need help.” It’s a frightening situation that continues to get scarier by the second.

No word on who “Murph” is.
Griffen has a history of dealing with mental health issues, and this appears to be the latest chapter in this disturbing saga. Let’s hope this situation is resolved without anyone getting hurt and Griffen can get the help he so obviously requires.
