The Houston Texans have been dominating the New England Patriots all day long, but then they remembered who they were by trying a fake punt play from their own 36-yard line early in the third quarter.
The Texans were originally lined up as if they were going to go for it on 4th & 2, but they eventually motioned out of shotgun and into punt formation, only for Cameron Johnston’s punt to ricochet off a lineman’s head and out of bounds.
In the end, it would go down as a zero yard punt for Johnston.
The Texans held a commanding 22-9 lead at the time, but the Patriots have since reduced that lead to 22-15 at the start of the fourth quarter.
