C.J. Stroud showed he could walk the walk during his rookie season, firing the Houston Texans to the playoffs, as well as a postseason win.
But he’s talking the talk now as he’s throwing shade at entire NFL organizations.
The first-year quarterback was sitting down for an interview when he was asked whether the Bears should keep Justin Fields given that they have the No. 1 overall pick.
With Caleb Williams likely to be drafted at No. 1 overall, he’s likely going to the team that holds said pick on draft night. The Bears have a clear path to him at the moment and, should they choose to take him off the board, will part ways with Fields.
Stroud has suggested that they should hold on to their current starting QB and will do so “if they’re smart.”
He followed that up by saying “But you know,” as if to suggest the Bears are prone to silly moves.

Wow… shots fired.
The Bears have two coveted assets and can either trade their pick for players plus draft capital or trade Fields for players they could use to build around Williams. Either way, they’re in for a major haul.
We’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
