Texans Interviewing Josh McCown For Head Coach Who Has Zero Coaching Experience Over Eric Bieniemy

The Texans continue to make the wrong decisions.

On Friday, the team announced they were interviewing, of all people, former NFL QB Josh McCown, for their head coaching position.

The Houston Texans have continued discussions about the vacant Head Coach position with Jim Caldwell and Josh McCown.

The team also sat down with a more conventional candidate in veteran coach Jim Caldwell.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Texans are serious about McCown as a candidate, but would want to put one former head coach on staff if they hired him.

The #Texans are exploring the idea of Josh McCown as head coach but would surround him with at least one former head coach on the staff. Again, not as crazy as it might seem to go from player to head coach. And if anybody can do it, McCown can.
