Nick Caserio did not have much to say about Deshaun Watson’s legal situation when he spoke to reporters Friday.
The Houston Texans general manager was asked about a potential trade of QB Deshaun Watson, despite the legal issues he has going on right now.
“We’re not really going to get into a lot of hypotheticals and a lot of speculation. I’m not really good at that,” Caserio said. “Maybe someone else is better at that than me. If you want to speculate, you should probably go buy Bitcoin, focus on that.
We’re just going to focus on the things we can control, which is kind of getting ready for the draft and trying to take advantage of the opportunities to continue to add to our team and build our roster. And we’ll just take it one day at a time, focus on the things we can control.”
When asked about Watson, Caserio said the team is “respectful of the legal process,” which they will let play out.
“I think the most important thing in all of this is we’re going to do what is ultimately best for our team,” Caserio said.

Caserio has been an extremely busy man since being hired by this team this offseason. He has made some 70 transactions since being hired in January.
None of those moves will matter until they figure out what will happen with Deshaun Watson and whether he will be able to play in 2021 or get traded like he demanded before his assault cases came about.
