Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears can not be feeling good right now as the Bears’ offensive line will not be going intact into the regular season.
Left guard Teven Jenkins has a leg injury that could have him miss as much as six weeks, according to a report Sunday by Chicago Tribune Bears writer Brad Biggs.
Jenkins was practicing in Indianapolis last week but did not play.
It looks like he will miss at least three games.
It’s a devastating blow for an offensive line that has Nate Davis also missing time, and with Cody Whitehair now out. Not to mention, backup center/guard Lucas Patrick has missed several weeks of training camp with an undisclosed injury.
Jenkins is also arguably the team’s best offensive lineman, but he cannot seem to stay healthy. He’s yet to play an entire season since being drafted in 2021.

This is just terrible for Justin Fields who is coming into the 2023 season with high expectations to make that next step in his career. If he cannot be protected, then he won’t have the time in the backfield
Alex Leatherwood is behind Jenkins on the depth chart at left guard. He is a former first-round pick by the Raiders in 2021 and will be Fields’ best friend if he can block his blindside.
