Terry Bradshaw is foaming at the mouth about Russell Wilson.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Bradshaw was really upset about how much the Denver Broncos QB got in his new deal after being traded there from Seattle. He brought up how the $35 million per year Wilson is now making dwarfs the $300,000 per year he made in his best year with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“He’s never going to have to do this,” Bradshaw said, referencing his media career. “His little a– is [making] $35 million a year for 10 years. S—. That makes me sick. Man alive. Three-hundred grand I made. Isn’t that sad?”
Wilson signed a five-year, $242.6 million extension in September that essentially locks him in as Denver’s starting quarterback for the next two seasons. In response to his huge deal, Russell Wilson delivered his worst year as a professional as he had a career-low 16 touchdowns and led the league in times sacked despite missing two games.
In his 15 starts, Wilson recorded 3,524 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He became a source of ire in a disappointing 5-12 campaign.
The Broncos’ front office can only hope that Sean Payton can turn him around in year two.
