Terry Bradshaw has thought up the perfect way to transition into the afterlife. It appears the veteran sportscaster wants to die on live television in what he imagines would be a great sendoff, as well as a ratings booster for FOX.
Bradshaw had plenty to say during FOX Sports media day ahead of this Sunday’s Super Bowl and revealed having a discussion with the company about possibly dying on FOX NFL Sunday.
“I told Fox, ‘if I could just die on the show’,” he quipped. “Think about the ratings, right? I mean, are we not about ratings? That’d be huge. Not only that, it’d be a huge carry-over. Then all the networks would be saying ‘Bradshaw died on the Fox NFL Sunday. Can you imagine… Huge stuff.”
The 74-year-old pointed out that he might get a statue too.
Bradshaw, a co-host on the aforementioned show since 1994 and a four-time Super Bowl winner, then went on to joke about Tom Brady’s expected arrival on the network following the quarterback’s decision to retire.
“I’m not looking over my shoulder, but Brady is coming in for $37.5 million a year,” he said laughing.

On a more serious note, Bradshaw had some advice for the former Patriots and Buccaneers QB.
“It won’t be easy. The problem with Tom is the whole world is gonna watch. Everyone wants to see how he does. And if he doesn’t meet the expectations of you guys, you’re gonna say it. So I don’t think criticism is something that has come his way in his 20-plus years in the NFL. I know a lot of these superstar quarterbacks get criticized to a degree. They don’t take kindly to it.”
Brady isn’t going to be starting the job this year, as was expected. The seven-time Super Bowl champion recently revealed he plans to start in the fall of 2024 as he wants to take some time to learn.
