Pro Football Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw shared an interesting theory on why the Kansas City Chiefs are struggling, and why he doesn’t see them repeating as Super Bowl champions.
Speaking on “FOX NFL Kickoff”, Bradshaw stated that the Chiefs look like an “exhausted” team and cited this as a reason behind their alarming amount of mistakes.
“I see a very tired football team. When you’re tired, you do what? You make mistakes. Dropping passes, turning to an official who was the same official that was in the Super Bowl that you just beat the Eagles with and jumping his case?….That’s a sign right there of a team that is just…frustrated, fed up. I don’t see them getting into the Super Bowl.”
Bradshaw also expressed doubt that the Chiefs will be able to win on the road in the postseason. Patrick Mahomes has never had to play an AFC playoff game on the road, but they’re likely to finish as the No. 3 or No. 4 seed this year.
So unless the Chiefs get some help from the wild card teams facing the higher seeds, Mahomes and company will most likely have to win at least one road playoff game to get to the Super Bowl. And that’s assuming the Chiefs win their Wild Card Round matchup in the first place.
