The early returns for Indianapolis Colts rookie Anthony Richardson have been very positive during organized team activities, but everybody feels the same way.
Alex Kay of Bleacher Report recently dropped his 2023 stat projections for every starting quarterback in the NFL and he has the Indianapolis Colts rookie struggling during the 2023 campaign.
“Projection: 59 percent completion rate, 2,664 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns, 14 interceptions, 125 carries, 822 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns.”
The Colts selected Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft as they hope he will be the answer to stop their carousel of quarterbacks they have brought in since the retirement of Andrew Luck.
In Indianapolis, Richardson joins new head coach Shane Steichen, who helped unlock Jalen Hurts’ dual-threat potential in Philadelphia.
Last season, Indianapolis finished 20th in passing in the league. Along with Steichen was the team signing Gardner Minshew in free agency.
Richardson was arguably the most enticing quarterback prospect in this year’s class because of his unique athletic traits. The 21-year-old is the best athlete at the position who has ever worked out at the NFL scouting combine, based on his relative athletic score.

Richardson only had one full season as a starter at the University of Florida and attempted 393 passes over three years with the Gators.
Richardson probably isn’t going to be dominant, but if he shows signs of growth amid the mistakes, he will make everybody in the Colts’ front office happy.
