The NFL may not come out and directly say they want Antonio Brown off the field for the remainder of the 2019 season and playoffs, but their actions certainly prove they are doing just that.
TMZ recently caught up with Terrell Owens and asked him about the situation. The hall of famer believes the NFL is purposely dragging their feet in order to keep the superstar off the field.
“I think that’s probably, maybe a tactic of the NFL to drag it out to where, you know, he can’t get on the field this year,” Owens said.
It’s not like Brown has been a choir boy throughout the process. He has multiple allegations of sexual assault, sending harassing text messages, and even calling the league racist on Twitter when he randomly decides to lash out.
Teams might be interested in him, but everyone has stayed away until the league has finished their probe.
“T.O. does believe Brown could be handling the situation better publicly — especially when it comes to his social media — but tells TMZ Sports he understands why AB is frustrated and acting out.
“I don’t condone everything he’s doing but I understand where he’s coming from,” Owens says.
