Terrell Davis and his legal team aren’t prepared to accept just an apology from United Airlines after his embarrassing ordeal while traveling on the weekend.
The company has issued words of regret following the former NFL star being taken off a plane in handcuffs, having been involved in an incident with a flight attendant that was apparently massively overblown as he was accosted by six law enforcement agents, including FBI, after landing in California.
Davis, his wife, and three children were flying from Denver to Orange County when he had what can only be described as a bizarre in-flight encounter. The way he tells it, he “lightly tapped” the attendant on the arm to get his attention after his son asked for some ice and was shouted at, with the latter saying, “Don’t hit me,” before leaving the area.
According to Davis, they had no further interaction.
Parker Stinar, retained by the 51-year-old after the incident, tells TMZ that the airline’s apology is insufficient.
“An apology without action is just words,” he said, “It really doesn’t address the situation. We can’t unright the wrong.”

Terrell Davis’ Attorney Says They’re Considering A Lawsuit
Stinar added that they are demanding a transparent investigation, a meeting with the UA CEO, and a total policy change.
“Stinar said part of his issue with the whole ordeal is that in wake of Davis’ situation, multiple people have reached out to him and his firm to let them know they’ve experienced similar difficulties while on UA flights,” TMZ notes.
The attorney has also revealed that Terrell Davis is considering legal action against the airline.
Meanwhile, the company claims to have removed the flight attendant from duty while the matter is under review.
