Colin Kaepernick’s NFL comeback aspirations seem to creep up every offseason with nothing of substance ever happening.
Despite a constant need for backup quarterbacks in the NFL, and Kaepernick’s experience and talent, teams have shown an unwillingness to pursue or sign him.
Kaepernick has the talent, but teams would rather not deal with the media circus that would come with signing him. One former NFL linebacker made fun of Kaepernick during a podcast appearance.

Kaepernick could make his name by leading the Niners to Super Bowl XLVII, however, they were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens.
Across his career to date, Kaepernick has played in 69 games and has thrown for 12,271 yards, 72 touchdowns, 30 interceptions, completing 59.8% of the passes he attempted. On the ground, he generated 2,300 yards and 13 touchdowns after running with the ball 375 times.
There was a huge argument to be made for previous years that he should’ve been given a second chance to play, but now age has gotten up there and teams do not care for the circus it would bring that would distract the season.
