The No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft has already been traded, but that may not be the only top-five pick dealt during the offseason. The No. 3 selection in the 2023 NFL Draft could be on the move as well.
The Tennessee Titans could be ready to make a splash to land their next franchise quarterback as Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network reported the Titans are among the teams “exploring” a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
“Can I give you the team that I have been told to keep an eye on that’s exploring this and looking into this?” Jeremiah said on his Move the Sticks podcast (h/t Buck Reising of A to Z Sports). “Again, this is just people around the league who said do not sleep on Numero 11. The Tennessee Titans. The two teams to keep an eye on with the trade-ups were the Raiders and the Titans.”
Tennessee would presumably be moving up in the draft to take Florida’s Anthony Richardson, who has seemingly moved ahead of Kentucky’s Will Levis on most draft boards. Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud and Alabama’s Bryce Young are expected to be the first two quarterbacks off the board.
Arizona remains invested in Kyler Murray as its franchise quarterback despite his bad 2022 and him ending the year with a torn ACL that will have him out for much of the 2023 season.
The Titans selected Malik Willis in the third round of last year’s draft, and although they had hope for him, he struggled mightily as a rookie. The team might be in rebuild mode soon as veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry are set to become free agents after the 2023 season.
Richardson might wind up being the next face of the franchise.

The AFC South could have three teams selecting quarterbacks in the first round. The Texans are picking second, while the Indianapolis Colts are set to select at No. 4.
The San Francisco 49ers traded up to No. 3 in the 2021 draft with the Miami Dolphins to select quarterback Trey Lance. They had to part ways with their 2021 (12th), 2022 and 2023 first-round choices, along with a third-round pick in the 2022 draft to Miami.
The top of the 2023 NFL Draft class is also loaded at the quarterback position, and as many as four passers could go within the top five.
