The Tennessee Titans do not play until Monday night and when they do hit the field, it will be with a heavy heart.
Former Titans great tight end Frank Wycheck died at 52 years old on Saturday, his family announced in a statement obtained by paulkuharsky.com.
Wycheck fell and hit his head while at home and would not recover from his injuries.
“At this time, it appears Frank Wycheck fell inside his Chattanooga, TN home and hit his head on Saturday morning,” the statement read. “He was found unresponsive that afternoon. Wycheck moved to Chattanooga,TN this past summer to be closer to his family. He leaves behind two adult daughters, Deanna and Madison, both married, and three grandchildren – Leo, Stevie, and August.”
The longtime Tennessee Titans tight end caught 505 balls for 5,126 yards with 28 touchdowns as one of the top ends of the 90s.

His most memorable play was the “Music City Miracle” that’s become synonymous with his name. Wycheck lateraled the ball to Kevin Dyson and Dyson took it to the end zone to stun the Buffalo Bills in the 1999 Wild Card Round.
It was a highly controversial play then and even now as fans still debate whether it was legal or not.
