Tee Higgins has responded to rumors claiming he could be traded.
The wide receiver is entering the fourth year of his rookie contract, having signed an $8.6 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020.
Drafted in the second round at No.33 overall, Higgins has quickly become one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, leaving the Bengals with two highly-rated players in said position, with Ja’Marr Chase also on their books.
According to a piece from The Athletic’s Paul Dehner Jr., Cincy could trade Higgins for a top draft pick, select a top WR, and reset.
That’s provided they can’t come to terms on an extension.

The 24-year-old has apparently caught wind of the reports and took to Twitter to post the following on Friday afternoon:

The Bengals would probably prefer keeping Higgins on their roster instead of betting on someone else when they already have a proven stud.
Higgins has registered over 1,000 receiving yards in his last two seasons and might have been in the Super Bowl this year barring an ill-advised foul and some questionable refereeing.
