Tedy Bruschi was a man that could put a hurting on offensive players during his prime years in the National Football League. Now, he is getting a taste of his own medicine by a family member.
Former linebacker Tedy Bruschi appears to have passed on his thirst for punishment to his son, Dante.
On a recent episode of ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown, a video clip was presented that showed the 6-foot, 220-pound senior linebacker at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Massachusetts running over 49-year-old Tedy while he was holding pads for him during his final practice of the season.
“I knew it was coming,” he joked.
With his son coming full speed at him, you can see Bruschi get sent to the ground as his son’s teammates crowded around.
The third-round pick in the 1996 NFL Draft played for the Patriots until 2008 as he racked up 1,074 tackles, 57 passes defensed, 45 tackles for loss, 30.5 sacks, 17 forced fumbles and 12 interceptions. He won three Super Bowl titles, was a two-time Second Team All-Pro, a one-time Pro Bowler, and was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2005.
