The 2023 NFL season still has one game remaining, but the end of the line has already come for Teddy Bridgewater.
The Detroit Lions’ loss in the NFC Championship Game to the San Francisco 49ers brought with it the end of the career of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. It wasn’t a shock since Bridgewater had announced earlier in the year that the 2023 season would be his last in the NFL and that he was retiring to focus on becoming a school teacher.
Bridgewater did not stay retired for long as he found a job less than a week after his last game.
The Portal 305 reported that Bridgewater will become the new head football coach at Miami Northwestern High School.
Bridgewater is a 10-year veteran who played a critical support role for Jared Goff during the march to the NFC Championship game. After the Lions lost 34-31 to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, Bridgewater was seen walking arm-in-arm with head coach Dan Campbell as the two exited Levi’s Stadium.
The 10-year veteran has played for six teams throughout his career, with his most notable performances coming in his first two seasons with the Vikings.
