A former WWE star has been charged amid the scandal involving NFL legend Brett Favre.
According to Ken Dilanian of NBC, the Department of Justice hit Ted DiBiase Jr. with multiple charges on Thursday.
Ted, the son of the wrestling icon known as The Million Dollar Man, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft concerning programs receiving federal funds, and four counts of money laundering.
The ex-WWE wrestler is facing substantial jail time as he could spend up to 20 years in prison for each wire fraud charge and up to 10 years for each theft and money laundering charge.
Per the report, DiBiase was given millions in federal funds which were supposed to go to low-income residents in Mississippi, with his companies receiving at least five “sham contracts” in exchange for services he did not provide or intend to provide.
He’s accused of funneling the money towards his own ends, including a vehicle, a boat, and a down payment on a home.

DiBiase followed in his father’s footsteps as a wrestler, joining WWE in 2008 before leaving for the Indies in 2013. He had his most memorable WWE run with The Legacy faction.
The senior DiBiase has been sued by the Mississippi Department of Human Services for his part in the same scandal.
Favre, who has denied wrongdoing, has not been criminally charged in the matter, though texts suggesting otherwise have since leaked. His representative refused to comment on this latest development.
