New York Jets owner Woody Johnson has blasted the NFL Network this week following a report claiming he was involved in a “heated argument” with head coach Robert Saleh.
NFL Network’s Colleen Wolfe reported on the supposed incident, claiming that the two went at it at the owners’ meetings in Orlando, Florida this week.
“At the owner’s meetings, there was a very heated conversation between Woody and Robert Saleh,” Wolfe said on ‘Around The NFL’, “to the point where it was a little awkward.”
Johnson took to X/Twitter, where he branded the report “false” and “irresponsible.”
“All this nonsense about a heated argument between Coach Saleh and me at the League Meeting is absolutely false,” he wrote. “It is yet another irresponsible report from NFL Network. Please disregard.”

Wolfe was not able to report on the reason for the argument. Still, the 7-10 finish and busted Aaron Rodgers project had fans discussing it online.
Many of them have reacted to the fact that an NFL owner has called out the league’s network.
“an nfl owner calling the nfl network fake news is outstanding content,” one wrote.

Woody Johnson has been full of surprises lately. He recently offered some harsh critique on the team’s quarterback situation, suggesting that Zach Wilson was not even good enough as a backup following Rodgers’ injury.
“You need a backup quarterback,” he said, according to ESPN. “We didn’t have one last year.”
Woody Johnson Is Looking For The Jets To Deliver In 2024
Woody Johnson has let the Jets know that they have to produce in 2024. Should Rodgers play a full season, they should be able to make it back to the playoffs, but it doesn’t appear that he accepted the unfortunate turn of events as an excuse.
The owner revealed expressing his anger at the team, particularly the offense, noting that they’ve seen him “about as mad as I can be.”
As for Saleh, the head coach says he plans to use a different approach next season while there will be many changes moving forward.
