The NFLPA report cards for 2024 are out, and certain teams have come off looking pretty bad as they have been exposed for having some very low standards by their own players.
The Cincinnati Bengals are one such outfit. While they made major upgrades to their facilities, having renovated their training room, added a new recovery room, and upgraded their hot and cold tubs, they lacked in a very important department.
The survey results indicate Bengals players were very pleased with the team’s changes with regards to the building. However, they fall way short when it comes to their treatment of players’ families as they don’t offer a family room or a daycare on gameday. They are one of just four teams in the NFL that don’t provide such amenities, and they’re taking some heat for it online.

Food is also a major issue as the Bengals are the only team in the league that keeps its cafeteria closed when the players have a day off though many players are at the facility getting extra prep and recovery when they’re off.
Per the report:
“The club did begin to provide three meals a day on Wednesdays only this year. But they are one of two teams in the league that don’t provide three meals a day each day for the players.”
The players have also revealed that around half of the locker room showers either don’t provide enough water pressure or have warm water.
“They face consistent plumbing issues that limit the amount of functioning toilets the players can use.”

While the team has addressed areas that were outlined as problems last year, it appears there’s still a lot to do.
On a positive note, they received scores of A and A- for their head coach and strength coaches, respectively.
