TCU quarterback Max Duggan is reportedly “drawing interest from” three teams despite their quarterback situations.
According to NFL Network’s Jane Slater, the TCU signal-caller is garnering interest from the Los Angeles Chargers, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys.
This is notable because the the Chargers already have a top-level quarterback in Justin Herbert, and the Dallas Cowboys still have Dak Prescott. The Jets, on the other hand, are expected to acquire Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers in the coming weeks (or days).
Duggan’s Horned Frogs were one of the biggest NCAA surprise stories in recent memory, advancing all the way to the National Championship Game. They were no match for the reigning champion Georgia Bulldogs, however, who cruised to a 65-7 victory for a second straight championship.
Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, Florida’s Anthony Richardson and Kentucky’s Will Levis are the consensus top-four prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft. Young and Stroud are highly expected to be the top two selections.
Richardson and Levis are also regarded as likely top 10 draft selections. The Indianapolis Colts, who pick at No. 4, need a quarterback. The Las Vegas Raiders (seventh overall) are another team to follow on draft day.
