Taylor Swift won’t be performing at Super Bowl 48; that much has been confirmed. But she does plan to attend the game, though she might have a bit of difficulty as she’s flying in from Tokyo.
The pop artiste, whose relationship with Travis Kelce is the most talked-about on a global level, is expected to have a significant impact on proceedings due to her sheer pull. According to Front Office Sports, multiple beauty companies have paid for ad slots as they are counting on Swifties tuning in to watch on CBS.
“It has become one Swift world,” trendspotter Marian Salzman told FOS. “Honestly I think she is the best bridge [advertisers] have to women of all ages – and the men who shop with them.”
L’Oreal’s NYX Professional Makeup will have a new 30-second commercial celebrating the “power of women” while Dove and e.l.f Cosmetics have also gotten spots, which marks a first for the latter.
The NFL has made millions on account of Swift’s presence alone, with way more females tuning into games because of her. Of those females, we imagine many will be sticking around because football has that sort of magnetism.
As for the Super Bowl, kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 PM ET on February 11, with the aforementioned network set to air.
