Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted together, side-by-side, as they exited Arrowhead Stadium together after Sunday night’s Kansas City Chiefs blowout win against the Chicago Bears.
The stadium was already rocking that afternoon but it got even louder when the fans realized she was there.
For a woman like Swift, she carries a lot of influence when she says or does anything. That is why one group has a special request for the pop icon.
Following the game, a group of Native Americans asked if Swift would aid in helping them stop Chiefs fans from doing the Tomahawk Chop at games. Rhonda LeValdo, who leads Not In Our Honor, is advocating for the chop as well as their nickname to go away from the franchise.
“We remain hopeful that an outside influence like Ms. Swift could be an ally for us in moving the conversation forward on why the chop is a racist act,” she told TMZ Sports.
“To us, that hand gesture is synchronized racism. We implore Ms. Swift to take the time to understand our perspective and the scientific and psychological research into the harm to youth and communities caused by such behavior.”
On Sunday, Swift was actually on camera when fans started doing the chop, but she was likely told beforehand to not engage in the practice.
