Taylor Swift has responded to the NFL fans who feel like she gets too much coverage whenever she attends games.
The singer has been at a handful of Chiefs games this season as she is now dating tight end Travis Kelce. She was in attendance when they dropped a game to the Packers in Week 13 and could attend a few more before the end of the season.
She naturally gets lots of attention when she goes to games as the cameras pan to her box multiple times during an outing.
Swift spoke to TIME Magazine this week, with the publication naming her the “Person of the Year,” and discussed the fact that her coverage can annoy fans at times. She pointed out that she doesn’t know how the cameras find her and isn’t aware of the number of times she flashes across television screens.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she said. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when then camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
“I’m just there to support Travis,” she added. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
Swift has been to five games so far this season. The Chiefs are 4-1 when she attends, losing her first game vs. Green Bay this past Sunday.
