As the Kansas City Chiefs took on the New York Jets on Sunday night, the game was closely followed by an unlikely set of new football fans as swifties have been enjoying FL football for the first time in their lives.
Even the NFL has gone all-in on the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce era. The league changed its Instagram bio to “Chiefs are 2-0 as swifties,” and in doing so, caused a major conspiracy theory amongst other fan bases.
Jets beat reporter Brian Costello shared a screenshot of the NFL’s Instagram bio which reads: “Chiefs are 2-0 as swifties.” Saying, “This is not a good look by the NFL. This sort of thing fuels the conspiracy theories.”

The backlash towards the league hit an all-time high on Sunday night after the Chiefs appeared to benefit from a few controversial officiating decisions.
Anytime it looked as if the Chiefs would falter late in the fourth quarter, they would benefit from a penalty on the Jets or a noncall on their end.
Maybe now the NFL will dial the Swift coverage back a little or they will just not be so obvious with their bias for her bringing millions of new fans to the sport.
