Clark Hunt appears to be a Swiftie.
The Kansas City Chiefs owner and CEO opened up about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship while making an appearance on a special NFL Playoff edition of Mad Money. Among other things, he shut down the conspiracy theory that the relationship was fake or for PR.
“Well, first of all, we’re so happy for Travis Kelce and Taylor in their relationship. I’ve had a chance to meet her at one of the many games that she’s attended this year,” Hunt said on CNBC.
“She’s just as sweet as she can be. I also got to see her play here [at our Arrowhead Stadium] twice this past summer and what an incredible performer. I mean, just one of the most incredible artists of our time.”
The 58-year-old added that he believes the relationship is organic.
“It’s been a very interesting, very fun year having the two of them dating,” Hunt added to CNBC. “The attention that’s been focused on the Chiefs, our female audience has grown leaps and bounds. That’s right, it was purely organic.”
“You know, when they were just starting off dating, there were a lot of people saying, ‘Oh, it’s a marketing stunt,’ but no, it’s very real … and the most important thing is we’re happy for the two of them.”

When asked specifically about the “Taylor Swift phenomenon” that has infiltrated the NFL, Hunt said it has made for a “very fun year,” while adding that the Chiefs fan base has grown so much.
“I’ve had a chance to meet her at one of the many games that she’s attended this year, and she’s just as sweet as she can be,” he continued. “I also got to see her play here twice this past summer, and what an incredible performer. Just one of the most amazing artists of our time.”
Swift’s romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has brought two fandoms together, as Swifties and football fans alike watch Chiefs games closely even though it might be for two completely different reasons.
Dating rumors began in July when Kelce attended one of Swift’s “Eras Tour” concerts at Arrowhead Stadium. Travis Kelce recounted during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted with his brother, Jason Kelce, how he tried and failed, to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number.
In September, Swift was spotted decked out in Chiefs colors in a box to watch the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears and the rest is history.
