NBC’s Taylor Swift-centric coverage of Sunday night’s Chiefs-Jets game provided a major boost among female viewers and major ratings for the network as it averaged 27 million viewers, making it the most-watched television program airing on a Sunday since Super Bowl 57, according to NBC.
Unlike her appearance at Arrowhead, Swift came to MetLife with a ton of celebrity friends. In addition to Taylor Swift, Hugh Jackman, Sophie Turner, and Blake Lively were among the stars spotted at the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife.
Not much had been said about the atmosphere in the suite until Shawn Levy spoke on it this week.
The “Night at the Museum” director admitted he was shaken after watching the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets play at the MetLife Stadium on Monday. He even categorized his stay in the suite as ‘depressing.’
“It’s almost depressing by the way,” the Canadian film producer told Variety on Thursday. “I can make 50 more hit movies and shows and I’ll still be known as the guy in the orange suede jacket going to the Chiefs-Jets game with Taylor and others.”

Levy was expecting a good night out with the fellas but he was not aware of how insanely famous Swift was until that night.
“We had a glimmer that maybe there would be others but nothing prepared us for the frenzy of attention that was that outing,” the “Deadpool” and “Stranger Things” director recalled. “Very fun night but definitely, I’ve known famous people but Taylor is definitely a culture magnet unlike anything I’ve seen.”
He also joked that he had keep his potty mouth in check.
“I think I might have said to Ryan and Blake on the ride to the stadium, ‘I’ve never been more conscious of being careful of what I say,’” he said. “If you are going to a football game in a box with Taylor you pretty much have to assume that you are on camera all the time and they’re capable of slow motion so they can definitely read lips. So I kept it clean.”
Levy must not have watched the previous week because Taylor could be seen screaming “Let’s f—-ing go” during the game without a care in the world.
Levy took to Instagram after the contest to announce “all future Sunday nights are ruined” after watching the Chiefs win 23-20 with one of the most famous people in the world.
“Apparently there was also a football game played last night,” added Levy.
The Chiefs’ 23-20 victory peaked at 29.4 million viewers as the Jets fought back from a 17-0 first-quarter deficit to eventually tie the game. It was the second-most watched game this season, behind the opening night game between the Chiefs and Detroit Lions, which featured no Swift and not a single rumor about Kelce dating her.
