Blaine Gabbert was selected in the first round with the number ten overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was a total bust, lasting only three seasons and putting up some awful numbers. Since then, he has bounced around the league with several teams serving as a journeyman backup.
Despite his lack of success so far in his NFL career, there is one thing that Gabbert does not seem to lack, and that is confidence.
Appearing on the “Bussin With The Boys” podcast, his former teammate with the Titans and Pro Bowl tackle Taylor Lewan shared two hilarious stories from their time together in Tennessee.
Great stuff there by Lewan. “Boys, I’m about to dice these kids up, you just watch!” and “You boys just hold ’em up. Watch daddy sling it,” followed by interceptions pretty much sums up Gabbert’s career.
Gabbert was fortunate enough to sign with the Buccaneers and has served as Tom Brady’s backup since 2020, “earning” a Super Bowl ring that season with Tampa Bay. Hopefully he can learn a thing or two from the G.O.A.T.
