According to Field Yates, the Panthers worked out running back Tarik Cohen on Tuesday.
Cohen made it clear this offseason that he was attempting a comeback from multiple major injuries, including most recently a torn Achilles. His hard work paid off as he is now signing with the Carolina Panthers practice squad.
His wife revealed the roster move through her Instagram account.
“Getting that call that the Panthers signed Tarik Cohen. If anyone deserved a second chance, it was YOU!” She closed out the statement by giving her significant other some affection, “I love you and can’t wait to see you back on the field.”
The 5-foot-6, 191-pounder was one of college football’s most electric players while he attended North Carolina A&T State University from 2013 to 2016.
Cohen would then be taken by the Bears in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL draft. His 2018 All-Pro campaign also saw him notch a trip to the Pro Bowl after leading the league in punt returns and punt return yards.
