After 16 years as the franchise quarterback for the Chargers — Philip Rivers is likely headed out and getting ready to play for another franchise for the first time in his career.
Rivers won’t generate that much interest unlike Tom Brady, but there is still a market out there for him.
According to CBS NFL reporter Jason La Canfora, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting “a lot of buzz” as a possible landing spot.
The Bucs are expected to bring back Jameis Winston and are currently in the market for a backup or a potential challenger for the starting spot.
Rivers is coming off a year where he threw for 4,615 yards and 23 touchdowns but also racked up 20 interceptions and was sacked 34 times.
The Chargers finished the year with a 5-11 record and missed the postseason.
