Tampa Bay Bucs were not going to go through this for a second time.
Earlier this year, the team had to deal with Mike Evans giving away Tom Brady’s historic ball that made him the all-time leader in touchdown passes thrown. The Bucs ended up having to give the guy a lot in exchange for the ball after he made major headlines.
On Sunday Night Football, Brady threw for his 700th touchdown on a game-winning pass to Breshad Perriman in overtime. As Perriman made his way into the end zone, the Bucs had a staffer already running in to grab that ball and make sure he didn’t lose it.
Tom Brady became the NFL’s all-time completions leader and threw his 700th touchdown pass for the winning score, as the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers got a 33-27 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Brady threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns on the day, further cementing his case for NFL MVP honors this year.
