If there’s one thing NFL teams love to do, it’s bring back fan-favorite players to cheer the team on before a big matchup.
Such was the case this week when the Buffalo Bills had former Bills’ linebacker Takeo Spikes pump up the crowd before they took on the Las Vegas Raiders. He was the “Legend of the Game.”
After he pumped up the crowd, the Bills proceeded to give him the worst seats in the entire stadium to watch the game.
“Congrats to @BuffaloBills for getting a dominant win in home opener. I wish I could’ve stayed for the entire game but seating accomodations were NOT the standard. How you gonna have the @NFLLegends supporting with this obstructed sample size of a view!? Felt like I was in timeout,” he tweeted.
Spikes, who played two seasons in Auburn in 1996 and 1997, was on the 2024 College Football Hall of Fame ballot in January. He helped to lead Auburn to an SEC West division championship in 1997 and logged 136 tackles.

Spikes got his degree from Auburn in 2016 and was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in the same year.
Spikes played 15 seasons for the Bengals, Bills, Eagles, 49ers, and Chargers.
