The Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks played a hard-fought game on Sunday Night Football last week, with one of the most viral moments being T.J. Watt punching a Seahawks player in the stomach.
The majority of football fans knew he was simply trying to punch the ball out, but his punches were not landing where they were supposed to. Attempting to strip him, Watt punched for the ball, landing a shot right to Collins gut.
Because of his actions, he was hit with an unnecessary roughness call, giving the Seahawks a first down at the Steelers’ two yard line. The Seahawks would go on to score a TD.
On Saturday, the league decided to punish him with a hefty fine for those punches.
Watt won’t care too much since the Steelers picked up a 23-20 victory in overtime, to move to 3-3 on the season.

Earlier this week, Watt was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6. He finished Sunday night’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with seven tackles, two sacks for a loss of 13 yards, three pass defenses and one forced fumble in overtime. This is the fourth time Watt has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.
The Steelers are on bye this weekend.
