A quarterback-needy AFC team is reportedly looking at trading up for a top signal-caller in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward are the consensus top-two quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. Scouts are divided on where they should be taken in the draft, but both figure to be top-five picks when you consider how many teams desperately need a quarterback.
According to the NFL Rookie Watch X/Twitter account, the New York Jets are “100% in the QB market for” this year’s NFL Draft. Jets owner Woody Johnson apparently has an interest in Sanders, Ward and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart, with the Tennessee Titans said to be “open to” dealing the No. 1 pick.
It was reported during Super Bowl weekend that the Jets plan to move on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers following a disappointing two-year stint. With the No. 7 pick, the Jets would likely have to trade up to get a top prospect like Sanders or Ward.
The 2025 NFL Draft Is Difficult To Predict
The Titans hold the No. 1 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, followed by the Cleveland Browns (No.2), New York Giants (No. 3), New England Patriots (No. 4) and Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 5).
New England and Jacksonville obviously won’t be in the market for a QB, but would the Titans, Browns and Giants pass up on safer picks like Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter, Mason Graham or Will Johnson? Or will they be willing to risk it all for a boom-or-bust QB like Sanders or Ward?

Unlike previous drafts, it’s awfully hard to predict how the top 10 will play out.
