A new front-runner has emerged to land Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins if he leaves the team in 2025.
On Tuesday, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris announced that rookie Michael Penix Jr. was replacing Kirk Cousins at QB. Cousins has one touchdown and nine interceptions over his last five, barely snapping a four-game losing streak against the 2-win Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.
Cousins signed a four-year deal with Atlanta worth $180 million in the offseason, including $100 million guaranteed. Moving him would be difficult, but don’t forget that teams have found takers for QB contracts once deemed untradeable (see: Nick Foles, Jared Goff and Carson Wentz).
Do you look at Kirk Cousins collapse, and Sam Darnold’s breakout, and think wow…

The latest odds at BetOnline list the Tennessee Titans as the betting favorites to be Kirk Cousins’ new team in 2025 (if he leaves the Falcons). Brian Callahan’s group carries +400 odds, followed by the Seattle Seahawks at +450 and Cleveland Browns at (+500).
Kirk Cousins Makes Sense For Titans
With second-year quarterback Will Levis getting benched in favor of Mason Rudolph this week, it’s obvious that Tennessee will be in the market for a new QB next year. If Cousins is available, he definitely makes sense as a “bridge” quarterback while Tennessee searches for its long-term guy.
