Just when you thought Rob Gronkowski was actually going to stay retired, he goes and have a casual conversation with Drew Brees that fuels rumors he might make a comeback.
On Wednesday night, the former New England Patriots tight end was speaking with New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on the ESPYs red carpet when he appeared to tell Drew Brees, “I’m coming back.”
Social media was convinced that he did indeed say that.

Who knows at this point, even Gronk’s girlfriend Camille Kostek had this to say about him: “I think he is messing with everybody, then again he stumps me all the time so who knows? He could be pulling this out of the woodwork at some time. I would love to see him out there, but I am also respecting him taking this time for himself, healing up his body, and enjoying the time off.”
We’ll just have to wait until the Patriots take the field on September 8th and face-off against the Pittsburgh Steelers to truly find out if Gronk is staying retired.
Hell, he might comeback mid-season for all we know.
