Well, this was quite disappointing.
On Thursday, the full audio of Super Bowl LV was released showing what players were saying out on the field of play. The only thing people cared about, however, is what was said between Tom Brady and Tyrann Mathieu.
That confrontation has been talked about ever since the Chiefs safety dropped a since-deleted tweet about Tom Brady after the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl 2021 win on Sunday. Mathieu wrote on Twitter, “He called me something I won’t repeat but yeah I’ll let all the media throw me under bus as if I did something or said something to him.”
Around the 21:00 mark, you can see where Tyrann gets called for a penalty and the touchdown that was scored on him by Antonio Brown, but the footage of him and Brady was not added.

Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin already informed the world on “The Rich Eisen Show” that what Tyrann was seemingly alluding to did not happen, because he heard the audio.

“I didn’t like that Tyrann Mathieu put that out like that, the way he put it out, honestly, because I thought — come on, now, it makes people want to know ‘What’d he say,’ as if he said the n-word. And he did not. Tom did not,” Irvin said. “So I don’t even like that looming over this situation. So that’s why I think we should clean that up somewhere, somehow. That’s what I’m saying. He didn’t say that.”
It still makes you wonder why they didn’t drop the audio to clear things up.
ESPN reported on Monday that Brady texted Mathieu after the game to apologize “for losing his composure in the moment of the game.”
