Taylor Swift is good for football no matter what her critics think.
NFL ratings have been on hyperdrive since the 2023 regular season and continued into the 12-game postseason. Heading into Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, the ratings have been strong across all television networks and streaming.
This season has seen networks often show many shots of Swift as she attends games to support her beau, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce. CBS Sports posted that Sunday’s Chief-Ravens game was the most watched AFC Championship Game ever with about 55.5 million viewers — up more than 17% from last year’s game.
CBS Sports said it drew more than 50 million viewers in back-to-back week and Swift has a lot to do with that.
Some people are furious that Swift is shown on the telecast but two former Super Bowl champions think this is a good thing.
Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski thinks Swift’s presence is great for the league.
“I think it’s great for football, man,” Gronkowski told Fox News Digital. “I don’t think it’s overblown at all. She’s there supporting her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who’s one of the best players in the game.”

Gronkowski’s former Patriots teammate, Julian Edelman, agreed with that assessment as well.
“I think it’s great for the game,” Edelman added. “Anytime you make our game bigger, it’s a plus. I love football, and I love the NFL. They’ve given us so much. That Taylor bump is real now. I went to the concert. I got a 7-year-old daughter. And so it’s pretty cool.”
Swift went to her first Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 24. She cheered for a Kelce touchdown as the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears. Of the 12 games Swift has attended this season, the Chiefs have won nine and they are on their way to the Super Bowl.
Despite having a concert in Tokyo, Swift is expected to make it to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl.
